ABOUT US

Land Rights Defenders Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in the United States that is recognized by the IRS and led by Indigenous people. Our primary purpose is to protect Indigenous lands and territories from exploitation driven by the insatiable desire for land acquisition.
Our Mission
Guarantee the global protection of land rights through education, advocacy, and direct action.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, has secure land rights and is empowered to thrive and prosper.

Cases

We are moved to take action in support of the indigenous community members of Benimasi-Boadi near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, who have experienced continued persecution and defamation of their character, and criminalization of their rights to use and control their ancestral lands.

donation audience

Imagine a heartbeat… not from your chest, but from the earth.
This is the rhythm of Benimasi-Boadi, an indigenous community in Ghana facing a brutal reality: land grabs threaten to tear them from their homes, their ancestral connection, and their very way of life.
Here’s where you come in.
Since 2020, Land Rights Defenders has been fighting for the voiceless, standing as a shield against injustice. By wearing this T-shirt, you’re more than just supporting a cause – you’re becoming the lifeline for the Benimasi-Boadi community.

Today, as we walk the path of legal action, I see the fear in my community replaced by a quiet strength. We are no longer voiceless victims. We are guardians of our land, armed with knowledge and the unyielding support of Land Rights Defenders.
